Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading technical design and decision-making for significant projects, the full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Managed Service team will build and own capabilities across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and database technology in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and decision-making for large, release-defining projects impacting the cloud platform
• Design and implement new capabilities across networking, control plane, and managed service infrastructure
• Investigate, debug, and fix complex system issues in the cloud, diagnosing distributed-systems bugs and regressions

Required qualifications

• Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud services
• 4+ years of experience developing and debugging system-level software in languages such as Golang, C++, or Rust
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated ability to design and build highly reliable, high-performance system software
• Track record of leading non-trivial projects from design through production rollout
