Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of autonomous coding systems, the freelance Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and evaluate workflows for AI-driven software development while working remotely on a flexible schedule of 10-40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and refine agentic coding workflows where AI autonomously writes, tests, and iterates on code
• Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and adherence to best practices
• Create complex coding challenges to stress-test agentic AI capabilities and provide expert-level feedback on AI reasoning and code quality

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with real systems
• Proficiency in one or more major programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, Go, or Rust
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles
• Deep familiarity with modern development workflows including version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks
• Genuine curiosity about AI, large language models, and autonomous software development
