Job Summary

Building and maintaining core playback infrastructure, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will optimize client-side video playback components and collaborate with global teams to enhance streaming experiences for millions of users, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize client-side video playback components across multiple platforms
• Develop new playback features and improve existing user experiences in collaboration with frontend, mobile, and backend engineers
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and code quality initiatives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with video playback infrastructure technologies such as FFmpeg, ExoPlayer, or MediaCodec
• Experience building user-facing applications on platforms like Android, iOS, tvOS, macOS, or Roku
• Familiarity with streaming protocols like HLS and DASH
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and existing codebases
