Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Infrastructure team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and operate large-scale, high-performance infrastructure for Confluent Cloud, focusing on distributed systems challenges and enhancing real-time data streaming capabilities in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable infrastructure to support mission-critical data streaming workloads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments for reliability and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and enhance system performance across multiple cloud providers

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in building high-availability systems and optimizing system operations
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C++, Go, or other statically typed languages
• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
