Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and delivery of critical backend systems, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will develop cloud-native, multi-tenant services for Stream Governance in a remote environment, ensuring high availability and performance across distributed architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and architect the cloud-native Stream Governance platform for Kafka and real-time data
• Own the end-to-end design and implementation of complex backend services in a microservices-based environment
• Drive projects from requirements through implementation and ongoing operation, ensuring high technical standards

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating backend systems in production
• Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (e.g., Java, Go, C/C++, or Python)
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams
• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
