Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of complex backend services, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will take ownership of critical systems in a cloud-native environment, collaborating across teams and driving projects from inception to production in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and implementation of backend services in a microservices-based environment
• Make architecture and technical decisions while communicating tradeoffs effectively
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high technical standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
• Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (e.g., Java, Go, C/C++, or Python)
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and public cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with databases and storage systems, including data modeling and performance optimization
• A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
