Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Software Engineer (Forward-Deployed) will design, build, and maintain full-stack, cloud, and AI-driven health tech solutions, collaborating directly with business teams to rapidly prototype and deliver production software.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver working solutions rapidly, utilizing prototypes to build stakeholder trust and transitioning to production efficiently
• Design production RAG systems and integrate LLM APIs, optimizing for relevance and latency while ensuring system quality
• Facilitate collaboration across teams, mentor junior engineers, and communicate complex topics clearly between technical and business audiences

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong production experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, including modern frontend frameworks and backend API development
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Demonstrable fluency with AI coding tools and experience building production generative AI applications
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and work directly with business stakeholders to deliver solutions rapidly
