Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a high-impact team, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and deliver critical systems for Temporal Cloud, focusing on scalability, reliability, and customer data products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of business-critical systems for namespace scalability and customer data products
• Partner with analytics and product engineers to ensure effective data collection and meaningful customer insights
• Establish data pipeline architecture for high-throughput usage, ensuring data quality and correctness

Required qualifications

• Deep experience in designing and delivering production-grade backend systems in cloud environments
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language, preferably Go
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and data pipelines, including technologies like Postgres and Kafka
• Experience with production operations, including observability and incident response
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans
