Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to work remotely, who will enhance GitHub's internal development workflows by improving CI reliability, reducing test flakiness, and evolving platforms to support a rapidly scaling organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify and solve critical problems
• Drive technical solutions and provide design guidance while communicating progress and risks to leadership
• Iteratively ship features and bug fixes, ensuring quality code and resilient system architecture

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven production software delivery
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby or Go programming languages
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
