Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to join the methodology team, focusing on backend systems for high-volume data processing and event-driven integrations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, scale, and maintain backend systems that process large volumes of data
• Work on event-driven and API-based integrations while contributing to migration efforts toward a more domain-based architecture
• Collaborate with data science and engineering colleagues to investigate technical problems and propose solutions

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong technical depth
• Proficient in Java, with experience in Python and/or PySpark
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and Big O notation
• Experience with heavy data processing tools such as Spark, Kafka, and the Apache ecosystem
• Familiarity with Docker, SQL, NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and event-driven integrations
