Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote contract Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and enhance software systems while collaborating with developers and product managers to implement features and shape the engineering vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, or modify software systems considering service architecture
• Analyze user needs to determine software requirements and modifications
• Lead design and code reviews while participating in team strategy discussions

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer for web applications
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails; experience with Hotwire Turbo/Stimulus and Tailwind is a plus
• Strong understanding of data model design for relational databases
• Ability to break down large initiatives into incrementally implementable deliverables
• Experience working collaboratively across teams to resolve complex issues
