Job Summary

Experienced C++ engineers will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the modernization and evolution of the KnowItAll platform by refactoring legacy components and implementing new capabilities within a large, mature codebase.

Key responsibilities:

• Owning features or subsystems from design through implementation and maintenance
• Refactoring complex areas to enhance clarity, performance, and reliability
• Collaborating with engineers and domain experts to apply modern C++ practices

Required qualifications:

• Strong professional experience in C++, including debugging and performance tuning
• Experience with large, long-lived codebases, particularly in Windows development
• Solid understanding of memory management, threading, and performance trade-offs
• Typically 6-10 years of professional software development experience
• Comfort with incremental improvements to existing systems rather than complete rewrites
