Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Building a highly available and performant storage engine, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and operationalize complex distributed systems and infrastructure solutions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build the software for the mission-critical Confluent Cloud storage engine, focusing on high performance and reliability
• Independently drive execution of software projects to deliver complex solutions in production with an emphasis on quality
• Troubleshoot issues and improve operations for a complex technical stack across multiple cloud platforms

Required qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the Cloud
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go, or other statically typed languages
