Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the development of core components for Cilium's agent and datapath, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will create high-quality golang and eBPF code while providing technical mentorship and engaging with the open-source community in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high-quality golang and eBPF code for Cilium OSS/Enterprise and golang ebpf library
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Participate actively in the open-source community and potentially speak at public conferences

Required qualifications

• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with golang, C, and some knowledge of eBPF
• Experience in Linux systems design and networking
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience in technical leadership roles
