Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with acquired company engineering teams to plan and execute their migration to Workday's cloud-agnostic platform, focusing on technical delta analysis, migration planning, and automation coding.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering leads to inventory services and dependencies of assigned acquired companies
• Produce detailed migration plans and rewrite Terraform/Terragrunt modules as needed for cloud integration
• Establish repeatable migration patterns and actively participate in Architecture Review Boards to drive consensus

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software/infrastructure engineering experience, including 3 years on AWS and/or GCP
• Proficiency in Terraform and strong coding skills in Go and/or Python
• Solid CI/CD experience with tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong current experience with Kubernetes and observability stacks
