Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the design and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will enhance the compute platform's reliability and efficiency while working remotely and collaborating closely with Security, Reliability, and Observability teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes cluster management tooling and automation for a reliable compute platform
• Develop developer-facing tooling and workflows that improve interactions with Kubernetes, emphasizing AI-driven processes
• Automate operational tasks to improve platform observability and incident response while reducing on-call burdens

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years with Kubernetes or similar compute orchestration systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP infrastructure services in a production environment
• Proven ability to design and operate distributed infrastructure systems and diagnose complex failures
• Experience with the CNCF ecosystem and applying its tools to solve infrastructure challenges
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tooling into infrastructure workflows for enhanced automation and efficiency
