Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a significant platform modernization initiative, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will analyze existing systems, design serverless Node.js components, and oversee the migration of data while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand existing systems to facilitate migration efforts and address maintenance and bug fixes
• Design and direct the implementation of serverless Node.js/TypeScript components, guiding AI agents through the build process and verifying results
• Migrate and optimize data from legacy SQL databases to modern storage solutions, ensuring data integrity throughout the transition

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including query optimization and complex schema design
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with legacy system modernization and migration strategies
• Familiarity with serverless architecture on a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
