Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the launch of perpetual futures, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will own core backend systems for order matching and position management, focusing on optimizing performance and reliability in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own core exchange backend systems, ensuring effective order matching and state management
• Build and optimize the matching engine to improve latency and throughput
• Design systems for correctness at scale, implementing queueing and backpressure mechanisms

Required qualifications

• Senior backend engineering experience with a strong background in order-book-based exchange systems
• Deep knowledge of low-latency systems, including concurrency and performance profiling
• Experience with matching engines and order state management
• Comfort with Rust or a strong willingness to learn the language
• Strong observability fundamentals, including metrics and distributed traces
