Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer and Site Tech Lead in a full-time hybrid role, the candidate will provide technical direction for the Online Storage team, evolving storage and search infrastructure to support Zip's global expansion while mentoring engineers in Toronto.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Online Storage team in Toronto, guiding engineers in the Storage and Search domains
• Enhance Zip's search infrastructure and core storage stack for multi-region architectures
• Collaborate with teams to design features that meet enterprise requirements and improve system performance

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in platform or infrastructure teams
• Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed storage systems and cloud-managed storage solutions
• Proven experience with search infrastructure design and operation at scale
• Track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects with effective stakeholder communication
• Demonstrated technical leadership through mentorship and design reviews
