Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Passionate about solving challenging autonomy problems, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and validate planning and prediction systems for autonomous trucks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust autonomy behaviors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain planning and prediction systems, including motion planning algorithms for autonomous trucks
• Develop production-quality software in modern C++ within a Linux environment, adhering to best practices for quality and safety
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable autonomous driving behaviors through validation and debugging efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with 1+ year
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ development within Linux-based environments
• Experience in developing robotics or autonomous vehicle software systems, particularly in motion planning and decision-making
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and scalable development practices
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from design to operational support
