Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of the Horizon platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will work remotely to build and ship software, formulate solutions, and improve engineering systems while leveraging AI tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements and desired outcomes
• Design and implement new services, APIs, and reusable user experiences while improving software reliability and performance
• Enhance Horizon and internal engineering systems through tooling, automation, and documentation improvements

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in writing, shipping, and operating production software
• Depth in at least one part of the tech stack with the ability to work across the rest
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems-thinking capabilities
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows
• Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical contributors
