Job Summary

Focused on advancing Firefox's security architecture, the remote Senior Software Engineer will contribute to security systems, design web platform features, and improve browser performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advance Firefox's security architecture and cryptography stack by improving core security systems and implementing security features
• Design and implement web platform security features in collaboration with teammates and the broader web community
• Investigate and resolve issues impacting browser reliability, performance, and resource efficiency

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ with a solid understanding of security principles and cryptographic protocols
• Experience in building and maintaining complex software systems in large-scale or security-sensitive environments
• Strong debugging skills with expertise in diagnosing issues in multi-threaded, cross-platform applications
• Familiarity with web technologies and interest or experience in Rust
• Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn in the areas of browser security and systems programming
