Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance Firefox's security architecture and cryptography stack, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and implement web platform security features, improve browser reliability and performance, and collaborate on security initiatives while working remotely from Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Advance Firefox's security architecture and cryptography stack by improving core security systems and implementing security features
• Design and implement web platform security features in collaboration with teammates and the broader web community
• Investigate and resolve issues impacting browser stability, correctness, and performance

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ with a solid understanding of security principles and cryptographic protocols
• Experience building and maintaining complex software systems in large-scale or security-sensitive environments
• Strong debugging skills in multi-threaded, cross-platform native applications
• Familiarity with web technologies and interest or experience in Rust
• Demonstrated growth mindset with a desire to deepen expertise in browser security and systems programming
