Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the growing Battery team, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and develop backend services that integrate with industry-standard energy protocols, focusing on enhancing grid flexibility and supporting residential battery programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain integrations with energy protocols and specifications, including OpenADR and IEEE 2030.5
• Develop and maintain the client-facing REST API and its backend logic
• Ensure security and data protection policies are implemented and monitored effectively

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with energy specifications such as OpenADR and IEEE 2030.5
• Proficiency in the Java/Spring ecosystem
• Expertise in RESTful web APIs targeting external clients
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
