Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Core Experiences Team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and maintain foundational services and SDKs to enhance Speechify's product experience across platforms, collaborating with product teams and optimizing system functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions via the cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and improved algorithms
• Ship cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin

Required qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable
• Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
• Strong systems thinking and ability to design end-to-end solutions
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-growth startup environment
• Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers
