Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will develop and maintain a next-generation payments platform, focusing on backend systems using Java technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable and maintainable backend systems using Java technologies such as REST and Hibernate
• Implementing and maintaining efficient RESTful APIs and microservices while conducting thorough code reviews
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and optimize backend systems for performance and security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 10+ years of related experience
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)
• Solid understanding of backend development principles, including RESTful architecture and microservices
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL) and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries
• Familiarity with AWS services and a background in financial services or credit card systems
