Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will develop and modernize a cloud-native .NET application, focusing on integrating legacy systems and designing REST APIs for improved data access and security in public-interest projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new .NET services while ensuring data consistency between legacy and modern systems
• Create and maintain REST APIs for front-end teams, facilitating streamlined user experiences
• Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for engineering standards within the team

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience building server-side systems in C#/.NET
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with relational databases like SQL Server or DB2
• Experience designing microservices and implementing authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2/OIDC/SAML)
• Demonstrated experience in migrating legacy systems and managing associated challenges
