Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an ambitious pace-setter, the remote Senior Software Engineer will own critical backend systems and data pipelines, lead multi-milestone initiatives, and integrate AI into engineering practices to enhance individualized fitness experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the data platform for personalized fitness recommendations and AI-generated workout plans
• Lead the modernization of foundational data pipelines and integrations, ensuring long-term performance and reliability
• Define and monitor SLOs, observability, and alerting for owned services, participating in on-call duties

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend services
• Deep proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with strong fundamentals in API design and service architecture
• Hands-on AI development experience with modern AI tooling and capabilities
• Proven ownership of data-intensive or event-driven systems, including streaming and ingestion pipelines
• Experience operating systems on AWS and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform
