Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of an Interoperability platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for securely retrieving patient records from EHRs and external healthcare systems in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using FHIR standards for patient data retrieval and processing
• Integrate with external healthcare systems and EHR vendors, focusing on interoperability workflows for Release of Information use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate healthcare requirements into technical solutions while ensuring compliance and reliability

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, particularly with complex problem-solving
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft stack, including C#, .NET Framework, and SQL Server
• Direct experience with healthcare interoperability, especially FHIR-based integrations
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS or Azure environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
