Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning backend services and technical solutions in a remote capacity, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will tackle ambiguous challenges, design pragmatic solutions, and build reliable software in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend services and technical solutions from design through production support
• Debug complex technical issues and improve system reliability while addressing engineering pain points
• Collaborate in architecture discussions and mentor fellow engineers to promote thoughtful engineering practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience building backend systems with object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Go
• Experience designing, building, and operating backend services, APIs, or distributed systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of data modeling, relational database design, and working with ORMs
• Experience writing automated tests and debugging complex technical issues in real-world systems
