Job Summary

Driving technical execution from design through production, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will architect and deliver high-performance systems for collaboration, focusing on API design, system reliability, and technical leadership in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship scalable technical solutions across multiple GitHub services
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership, ensuring code quality and integration with downstream dependencies
• Champion operational excellence and security by improving system reliability and implementing isolation mechanisms for untrusted code execution

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven software delivery in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
• Associate's Degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years, or Master's Degree with 2+ years, or Doctorate with equivalent experience
• Experience in maintaining and delivering production software coding
