Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a high-impact digital payments modernization program, focusing on performance testing, application engineering, and general engineering tasks while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute performance testing strategies for payment processing services, identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements
• Build and maintain full-stack backend services for card network integration, primarily using Java and PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability and compliance of services across environments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in Java
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, specifically Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience deploying services in containerized environments like OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Background in digital payments or financial services technology preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with specialized training in technology
