Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely near Basking Ridge, NJ, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python, while leading a team and ensuring production readiness through best engineering practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python
• Architect and implement event-driven/microservices solutions using Kafka
• Develop data processing pipelines with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems in Java and/or Python
• 5+ years of experience leading a team of 5-10 engineers
• 3+ years of experience with databases including performance tuning and transactional consistency
• 2+ years of experience in cloud platforms and containerization
