Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and evolving high-scale backend and data-layer services, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and operate distributed backend services and APIs that support high-volume customer interactions while ensuring system reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate distributed backend services and APIs for high-volume interactions
• Take end-to-end ownership of platform work, from problem framing to production support
• Improve reliability, scalability, and cost across shared platform systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience building backend services and APIs in production
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP
• Proven production ownership, including monitoring and troubleshooting high-scale services
• Strong experience with data and messaging technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ
