Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of an innovative voice OS application, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Socket.IO, work across the frontend with TypeScript, React, and Next.js, and design APIs to enhance productivity in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, ship, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Socket.IO, AWS Amplify, and DynamoDB
• Design and integrate APIs using both REST and GraphQL for scalable data access
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to foster a collaborative development culture

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on a full-stack engineering team, building and maintaining production-grade services
• Professional experience with TypeScript, including API development and backend service design
• Experience building user interfaces through reusable, composable components
• Proven ability to optimize database performance through thoughtful schema design and query tuning
• Strong communication skills to navigate technical tradeoffs in a collaborative environment
