Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the Firefox experience, the remote Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of features related to installations, updates, and OS integrations, primarily focusing on Windows and macOS, while collaborating with a geographically distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve Firefox features related to installs, updates, and OS integrations
• Implement enhancements to the Firefox installation and update experience using data insights
• Collaborate with team members to scope and prioritize work in alignment with team goals

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience with systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS)
• Solid programming skills in C/C++
• Ability to work effectively in distributed teams
• Experience tackling platform-specific challenges in low-level operating system integration
