Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Writing and maintaining production Python services, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will focus on developing the core rendering and delivery infrastructure for a high-scale visual media platform while collaborating on cloud cost optimization and ensuring system reliability remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production Python services that manage billions of daily requests
• Design systems with a focus on failure modes, cost, and performance, and oversee their deployment and operation
• Build infrastructure tooling and automation to enhance team efficiency and maintain high system uptime

Required qualifications

• Strong Python development skills with experience in writing clean, maintainable production code
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with a major provider, preferably GCP
• Fluency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals relevant to service operations
• Proven operational ownership mindset with experience in incident triage and root cause analysis
