Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will architect, build, and maintain scalable features on a cloud-based platform using Ruby on Rails and React while leading technical discussions and mentoring fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable features across the full-stack platform
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to long-term engineering decisions
• Write clean, well-tested code and conduct thoughtful code reviews to ensure quality standards

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cloud-based software development with expertise in Ruby on Rails, React, and MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor developers
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including system architecture and algorithms
• Experience optimizing performance in high-load production applications
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms, particularly AWS
