Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of TimescaleDB Enterprise, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and build core product capabilities, including user-facing tooling and backend services, while collaborating with senior engineers to address operational challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of the on-prem deployment and management platform
• Develop core product capabilities, including management consoles, backend APIs, and operational tooling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve product reliability and usability

Required qualifications

• Foundational software engineering experience (1-3 years), preferably with backend services or infrastructure tools
• Working knowledge of Go or TypeScript, with the ability to learn new languages quickly
• Comfort with Linux fundamentals, including shell, SSH, and basic networking
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL or deployment automation is a strong plus
• Experience in collaborative environments with other technical contributors
