Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual obesity medicine clinic, the fully remote Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and ship backend services and workflows that enhance clinical charting, scheduling, and care coordination, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and integrations for clinical operations
• Own features from conception through production, collaborating with product and clinical teams
• Utilize small-batch, continuous delivery practices to ensure safe and frequent deployments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and operating production software, especially in backend and workflow-heavy roles
• Strong proficiency in modern backend technologies, with Ruby on Rails experience preferred
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and observability tools, such as AWS and Datadog
• Proven track record of owning features end to end and making architectural decisions
• Familiarity with integrating third-party systems and APIs
