Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend services and cloud-native applications while leveraging hands-on DevOps practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and build RESTful APIs and microservices with frameworks like Spring Boot
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, deploying and monitoring applications in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance

Required qualifications

• 10 years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Java and Spring frameworks
• Proficiency in microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and containerization using Docker
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
