Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Identity team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and operate highly available backend services in Go, ensuring secure authentication and authorization for users while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in Go that support authentication, authorization, and GitHub Apps at a global scale
• Evolve services to be geo-redundant across Azure regions, ensuring reliability and low latency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features that balance usability, security, and scalability

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as Go, Java, or Python
• Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in relevant fields, or equivalent experience
• Experience with backend service development and maintaining high-availability systems
• Familiarity with observability tooling and designing systems for operability at scale
• Exposure to frontend workflows (React/TypeScript) is a plus
