Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Senior Software Engineer, the candidate will architect, design, and implement backend services, primarily using Scala, while collaborating closely with product and executive teams to drive project success.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement backend services, including core APIs for data processing
• Write and maintain code primarily in Scala, promoting technical design and coding standards
• Continuously seek improvements in product architecture through direct changes and tool development

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on backend API design and maintenance
• Experience working with startup teams and in a team lead role
• Production experience or demonstrated interest in strongly-typed modern functional programming
• Familiarity with data structures, database optimization, cloud infrastructure, and message queues
