Job Summary

Driving innovation in search technology, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design technical strategies for search systems, improve search latency and relevance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and adapt the technical strategy for search, leveraging full-text search, vector databases, LLMs, NLP, and relevance algorithms
• Improve search latency and relevance through innovative solutions
• Research and apply emerging technologies to enhance index quality and retrieval performance

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in backend software development, with 3+ years in search or information retrieval
• Expertise in information retrieval, NLP, and machine learning concepts
• Hands-on experience with major search engines like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
• Familiarity with search evaluation frameworks such as precision, recall, and NDCG
• U.S. Person status required for access to U.S. only data systems
