Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the evaluation flywheel's architecture and quality, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will lead the development of metrics and datasets for autonomous vehicles, ensuring trustworthy evaluation processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the strategy and architecture of the eval flywheel, transforming driving data into curated golden datasets and measuring metrics for precision and recall
• Set standards for evaluation quality, including dataset curation, versioning, and performance measurement processes
• Develop tooling for metric developers to enhance iteration speed and maintain quality reporting across teams

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years of software development experience, particularly in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or large-scale ML systems
• Proven experience in evaluating ML or robotic systems, including metric design and dataset curation
• Strong Python and data engineering skills for production-scale pipelines
• Demonstrated technical leadership and independent execution across team boundaries
