Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Cobalt Strike engineering team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain core functionality in a complex security product while working remotely in a hands-on role focused on both C and Java codebases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain core Cobalt Strike functionality across native and Java-based components
• Debug complex issues across native code, Java code, and Windows behavior, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile planning to improve engineering practices and product capabilities

Required qualifications

• Strong professional experience developing in C
• Experience with Java or willingness to work in an existing Java codebase
• Working knowledge of low-level operating system internals, particularly Windows
• Experience designing, maintaining, and debugging complex production software
• Experience using Git and participating in code reviews in a collaborative engineering environment
