Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the FinTech vertical, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and build integrations between Engine's billing system and major ERP platforms, owning the full integration lifecycle and collaborating with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations with ERP platforms such as QuickBooks and Netsuite, ensuring accurate data flow
• Collaborate with external vendors to navigate APIs and get integration designs approved
• Drive the development of greenfield services, replacing legacy code with modern microservices and strong test coverage

Required qualifications

• Strong system design skills with the ability to articulate architectural decisions and tradeoffs
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in AI tools like Claude or Cursor as primary coding interfaces
• Proven experience in delivering complex systems, not just features
• Experience with Java or Kotlin programming languages
