Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support Alpaca's rapid growth, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable brokerage systems while mentoring talent and ensuring operational reliability across global teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems and middle- and back-office applications
- Collaborate with core teams to enhance the framework supporting multiple languages, currencies, and markets
- Act as incident commander during regional business hours, troubleshooting incidents and maintaining system integrity
Required qualifications:
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages with experience in designing robust system architectures
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proven software engineering architecture experience
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team
- Experience with event-driven design and strategic thinking to translate technical concepts into business strategies
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams and stakeholders
