Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support Alpaca's growth in new markets, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable brokerage systems while leading regional recruitment initiatives and ensuring operational reliability during business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable brokerage systems and enhance middle- and back-office systems
- Collaborate with core teams to transform the framework for multi-language and multi-currency support
- Act as incident commander, troubleshooting and maintaining system integrity and performance
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages with strong software engineering architecture experience
- Ability to lead incident resolution and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with event-driven design
- Experience working independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team
- Strategic thinking skills to align technical solutions with business objectives
