Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to work remotely, who will design and implement backend services in Go, partner with cross-functional teams to address complex identity challenges, and evaluate emerging identity technologies to enhance GitHub's identity platform.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services in Go for authentication and authorization at a global scale
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to solve identity-related challenges across various applications and APIs
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in identity management within the organization
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as Go, Ruby, or others
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in designing highly available and secure distributed systems
- Strong understanding of identity and access management principles
- Experience with backend development and system architecture
